Uncertainty in Sivaji release in Kerala

In Kerala the confusion that has arisen over an agreement between film chambers and 48 theatre owners is expected to create trouble in the release of Rajni's Sivaji. In Kerala the film chamber and theatre owners from 48 screens across the state have entered into a pact. According to this the producer of a film will be supported to a certain level financially by theatre owners and in return the producer will screen his movie only in these 48 theatres.

In case the film flops, the incurred loss to the theatre owner will be adjusted in the subsequent films of the producer.

In this present scenario the Kerala film chamber has decided to release Sivaji in more than these 48 theatres which has annoyed the theatre owners. They insist that Sivaji should only be released in their screens as per their agreement. But the film chamber counters this argument by stating that the presiding rule applies only to Malayalam films and does not hold good for films from other languages.
